There must be somethin...Wake was GREAT last night. There must be something about Oakland that brings out his best stuff. His knuckleball was just all kinds of nasty...until the 7th and I think he was just sitting way too long during the inning before, not that he was complaining about the bats actually waking up and giving him some dang run support.

Great job by WAKEY! His spot in the ASG is well deserved.

And yeah, Papelbon was shaky...his command was off and when that happens the batters don't swing and miss like they do when he is pounding the strike zone. He lucked out with that long ball not being a HR...and Ells making the catch. But, all in all...as long as he gets the save, Pap and I are still cool. I still don't want anyone else on the mound in the 9th.

Nice job Sox...and now it is on the Royals and we luckily get to face them fo 4 games without facing Greinke.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12951156819179961008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804386760822273225.post-18708185239272535952009-07-08T21:26:28.447-07:002009-07-08T21:26:28.447-07:00It seems like the rest of the country is up in arm...It seems like the rest of the country is up in arms over Maddon's choice of Wake, but when was the last time the leader in # of W's did not go to the ASG?davenoreply@blogger.com
