Here is a great opportunity to bid on sixteen once in a life time experiences and items, while also supporting the lifesaving mission of the Jimmy Fund, which is raising critical funds for pediatric and adult cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. The auction is currently on eBay and bidding ends on August 24. This auction is in conjunction with the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon. The eighth annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon is on August 27 and 28, broadcast live from Fenway Park.

Selection of Items:

  • Kelly Clarkson Meet & Greet VIP Concert Experience for Two
  • Throw First Pitch at the Red Sox Game on August 27 with Denis Leary & Lenny Clarke
  • Meet & Greet with Jersey Boy Frankie Valli in Boston for Two, Plus a Signed Jersey Boys Souvenir Book
  • New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox Weekend Package with Airfare and More
  • Score a Home Game From Inside the Green Monster at Fenway Park!
But the best item might be having your voicemail recorded by Eck, I'm sure he'd throw in a few "salad" references if you'd like.

How Much is Lugo Worth?

Judging by the bidding on game used red socks autographed by Julio Lugo; not very much. The Red Sox are paying Lugo $9 million a year to platoon with Nick Green but you can own his socks for the low bid of $1. If you look really close you can see a mark on one of the socks from where he booted a ball.

Ebay Update - Manny's Car, Tito's Gum

For those of you keeping score at home; Manny's car fetched a winning bid of $42,600. In other auction news, someone had been selling Terry Francona's chewed gum from game one of the World Series but Ebay removed the sale because there was some tobacco on it (tobacco sales are restricted on Ebay). Sorry if you didn't get a shot at the gum or got outbid for Manny's ride. If you really need some memorabilia there is a 1983 photo of Marty Barrett available with no bids.
