Roger Clemens* Keeps Digging Via Twitter

Even though his defimation lawsuit against his former trainer was thrown out earlier this month, Roger Clemens* continues to dig deeper into the massive hole of denial.  Now he has turned to twitter to get his message out.  Since speaking to millions through national TV interviews and appearing in front of Congress did not get his version of the story out he is posting updates like these to get people on his side:

Some people are just ASS CLOWNS! it would be nice to one day have a chance to have our say in a fair setting

And yes we will. Our side is loaded with info. Can't wait to get it out there!!! Coming soon

So I guess he was just waiting until after his lawsuit to get the info out there?  If Roger* wants to get people to believe his side of the story he might want to start by using a twitter background that doesn't have a cartoon baseball player straight out of a Hans and Frans episode.

Yankee fans are having a field day with this one

Yankee fans are pointing to the spike in his HR totals in 2003 as compared to 2002. The Twins did not want him swinging for the fences, they wanted him to be hitting singles and playing small ball. Upon arrival in Boston, they said swing away. That's why he started hitting more home runs.

Yes, it is a sad day in Red Sox Nation. I like Papi as much as any other fan. I've read his autobiography and was impressed by his integrity and his many other positive qualities. I will reserve final judgement of him after he does his research to find out what the substance was that got him on 'the list.' One thing is certain, he will talk, he will come clean, and it won't be some half assed dog 'n pony show like A-Rod or that other former Yankee.

David Ortiz is no Roger Clemens.

Someone Has Too Much Time On His Hands, This is Scary (Yankee Abuse Inside)

Someone at Jock and Balls has been spending way too much time with Photoshop, as evidenced by photos he composed of famous male athletes faces onto bikini model's bodies. Here are his photos of Clemens and Jeter. Follow the link above for more disturbing photos. You have been warned.

David Wells Makes Fun of Roger*

David Wells wants to clean up the game by banning players from the Hall of Fame the first time they test positive for roids. He also called out Roger* on the golf course:

“I saw Roger last year at a Toby Keith charity golf event in Oklahoma. I started calling him ‘He-lie,’ because for years, he called me ‘He-lie.’ You know, (as in) whatever comes out of Boomer’s mouth, ‘he-lies.’ Well, I got payback.

“Actually, it was great. (His wife) Debbie and (Clemens) on the first tee, Toby and I and a buddy of his were finishing up and I said, ‘Toby watch this.’ I yelled ‘He-lie!’ And Roger didn’t like it very much, but he came over and said hello.”

Roger* Is Playing a Losing Hand

Roger Clemens* went on ESPN Radio to defend himself from the new book American Icon. In the interview he continued to deny steroid use and would not talk about his failed defamation lawsuit. He continues to play a losing hand as him image and Hall of Fame chances circle the drain.

Roger* Had Man-Boobs Too

Maybe the Yankees need to issue bras for their team because their players seem to have a propensity for man-boobs. Yesterday we found out that A-Rod* had the steroid related side effect and today we learn that Roger Clemens* was also developing breasts:

"Roger Clemens had man boobs, and he must have been embarrassed because he was often the first Yankee out of the shower and the first to get dressed after the game."

The Needle and the Damage Done

Roger* may be going down hard in the near future now that the tests have come back positive on a needle linking him to steroids. From the Washington Post:

The DNA results, which are preliminary and subject to verification tests, could prove critical if prosecutors seek an indictment of Clemens on charges that he lied about the use of steroids, according to the sources.

Roger* Gets Kicked to the Curb

Now Roger Clemens* can't get any love in his hometown....even after giving $3 million:

HOUSTON -- The Roger Clemens Institute for Sports Medicine will no longer carry the former Astro's name.

The Institute opened in 2007 and Clemens had donated three million dollars to the hospital's pediatric wing.

But on January 1, it will now be called the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute. The hospital has not released a reason for the name change

.

I wonder what the reason for the name change could be....maybe the frequent phone calls from kids looking for steroids. With a name like "Roger Clemens Institute for Sports Medicine," they might as well have be called BALCO.

Top 5 Red Sox Traitors Of All-Time

With recent news of Johnny Damon adding fuel to the fire it is time to look at the top 5 traitors in Red Sox history. There is no bigger sin than joining the Yankees by choice (this eliminates the Babe) so to qualify a player had to go over to the Evil Empire.

#5 Don Zimmer - Granted Zim was never loved in the Nation and he ran many of the Buffalo Heads out of town and may have even been working for the Empire as a member of the Red Sox, but Zimmer makes the list for his charge at Pedro in '03. His attack will always be one of the strangest moments in the history of the rivalry.

#4 Bob Watson - After playing with the Sox in 1979 Watson signed with the Yankees. He did not have nice things to say about the Hub : "If you're not Irish Catholic, you have trouble in Boston. If you're black, you're at the bottom of the list . . . I didn't want another Boston. It was sterilized there. We were surrounded by Bostonians who weren't black. There was no identity. I'd have to drive across town to get a haircut. In Wellesley, there wasn't even a black garbageman." Watson said that he still considered Boston at the end of the 1979 season; then a black student bused into Wellesley was shot. "That hit home." Watson drew more ire from the Nation after the Fancona uniform incident as well as doling out some uneven fines and suspensions for Red Sox players as V.P. of discipline for MLB.

#3 Wade Boggs - 2 events put Boggs on the list: the first is the horse. Red Sox fans had to watch as a player they once cheered on rode around the outfield of Yankee Stadium on the back of a police horse. ''If you had said to my dad that one day we would watch Wade Boggs riding a horse around Yankee Stadium to celebrate his championship with the Yankees, his head would have blown up.'' - Dennis Leary. The second event occurred this season when Boggs wore a Yankee hat at the All-Star game in New York.

#2 Johnny Damon- After being the face of the "Idiots" Damon leaves for the Evil Empire after the 2005 season. Damon said this a few months before signing with the Yankees: "There's no way I can go play for the Yankees, but I know they are going to come after me hard," Damon said. "It's definitely not the most important thing to go out there for the top dollar, which the Yankees are going to offer me. It's not what I need." When you add him cutting his hair to play for New York, he has to be a top vote getter for biggest traitor.

#1 Roger Clemens*- Even though he went to Toronto before joining the Yankees he still found a way to be a huge traitor. Last year the Red Sox created a video to try to have him finish his career in Boston where he was once revered, but Roger* chose to go back to the Yankees, making his announcement in Steinbrenner's box. Bill Simmons once wrote an article comparing him to the Anti-Christ: "It wasn't bad enough that the winningest pitcher in Red Sox history wanted to play in New York -- he actually cheated to get there. Even the staunchest Clemens sympathizers in New England couldn't defend him anymore. He had crossed over to the dark side. He was Darth Vader with a Texas accent. He was the enemy." To make things worse he wore a Yankee hat during the Greatest Players of the 20th Century All-Star game ceremony at Fenway after only being with the Yankees for 3 months.

Roger* Booted From Charity Golf Tournament

Roger Clemens* has fallen so far that he is not even wanted for a charity golf tournament in his hometown of Houston.

"Roger Clemens is no longer affiliated with the tournament," said Nielsen, a Houston broadcaster. "We decided we would go our separate ways until his off-field stuff is settled...He is dealing with some tough issues," Nielsen said. "He is dealing with something that is very challenging. The accusations against him are serious. It just made sense to say, `Go take care of these issues and we will revisit the relationship later, when it makes sense.' He was very receptive. He was very understanding."

I wonder if Roger* is going to sue the charity now.

Roger* Getting Closer to that Pejury Charge

More bad news for Roger Clemens* appeared in the NY Daily News today:

Confessed drug supplier Kirk Radomski has provided documentary evidence to the government showing that he shipped drugs to the Texas home of Roger Clemens, who is under investigation for perjury after telling Congress he never used steroids or human growth hormone.

According to sources with close knowledge of the investigation, Radomski has discovered shipping receipts for a package of two kits of human growth hormone that he sent in late 2002 or 2003 to Clemens at the pitcher's palatial mansion in Houston.

How's that lawsuit going BTW? Maybe your ex-friend Andy Pettitte made the right decision on admitting use, nobody mentions steroids with him anymore. Don't bend over for the soap when you're in the big house or you might get to meet another rocket.

Clemens'* Ex-Squeeze in Trouble...Again

Last month the NY Daily Times alleged that Roger Clemens* started an improper relationship with country singer Mindy McCready when he was 28 and married and she was a mere 15 years old.

She had been on probation for a 2004 drug charge when she was recently arrested for violating her parole by falsifying her community service records.

I'm wondering if the drug charge involved steroids, perhaps? For her voice?

This is her 2004 mug shot.

More Signs That Houston Fans Are Not Wicked Smahht

In today's Houston Chronicle they have a feature on how a local rapper name Paul Wall, whoever that is, gives his support to Roger Clemens*. Seriously, is this the best the Rocket* can do for quasi -celebrity props? That guy isn't even famous enough to be on a Fox reality show. To make the story even more ridiculous, the rapper will participate in a guitar hero contest competition after the game wearing a Clemens* jersey, that should pack in the fans. From the Chronicle:

"That's why I had to wear it on my back," Wall said. "I had to represent. It may be a little added pressure to win on the Guitar Hero. I'm representing Clemens."

Wall has been one of Clemens' biggest supporters in Houston since the seven-time Cy Young Award winner was mentioned in the Mitchell Report on Dec. 13. At one point, he paid for a billboard in town that read, "Houston Supports Roger Clemens." The owner of Paul Wall's Grills also vows to write a rap song in honor of Clemens, whom he has mentioned in a few of his songs.

"Yeah, I've put him in a couple verses here and there, especially when he started getting a lot of coverage and everybody started coming down on (Clemens') back just saying, 'This is how the world is, man,' " Wall said.
I don't know which is scarier; that this guy paid for a billboard to support Roger* or that the Chronicle published this story.

Roger* Gets More Bad Press

Roger Clemens* has found his way back into the papers, this time for having a 10 year long affair with country singer Mindy McCready. The affair is said to have begun when Roger* was on the Sox and McCready was 15. Woops, seems like Roger* made the wrong choice when he filed the defamation of character suit against McNamee. One of McNamee's lawyers responded to the news by saying: "If it's proved that he's a philanderer, his reputation is already damaged. When you sue for defamation, you put your whole reputation in the community at issue. Anything is fair game, including his claim of sanctimonious purity."

No word yet if McCready had taken steroids to improve her singing career.

Roger* Throws His Final Pitch.....and Walks In The Winning Run

Somewhere Sammy Sosa is laughing; all he had to do was pretend he didn't understand english and he walked away virtually unscathed while McGuire went down in flames. If McGuires testimony was a crash and burn then Clemens was the Hindenburg disaster. He rode his BS all the way to the point where Rep. Waxman hit the gavel to silence him, and that is what he will be remembered for. Clemens will join other players who are remembered more for the scandals they were involved in than their performance on the field; he will become the Ty Cobb of his generation. When Ty Cobb died none of his former teammates attended his funeral, will Jeter and Pettitte go to Clemens'? Roger's* days in the limelight are over, he will disappear from the front pages and will not be talked about again until his name is on a Hall of Fame Ballot. Roger is making us "misremember" him; he is not to 20 stikeout pitcher for the Red Sox, he is the lying scumbag Yankee pitcher who threw his trainer, best friend and wife under the bus to try and hold on to something he lost years ago. Thanks for giving us the entertaining TV Roger*, pitchers and catchers report tomorrow so we are moving on, your time in the spotlight is over and HGH isn't going to bring it back this time.

Why are Republicans Defending Roger*?

In watching the hearings today I noticed the questioning of Roger* was very different depending upon political affiliation. Republican representatives Burton and Foxx defended Roger* and gave him a few softball questions while the Democrats on the committee went after him. Clemens even said George Bush Sr. had spoken with him and said how wrong this investigation was. I don't know what Republicans are trying to gain by defending Roger. After the hearings McNamee's lawyers called Burton and Foxx's actions shameful and thought they acted the way they did because of Roger's personal lobbying. Watch some of the questioning below.

Clemens Is Getting Grilled On the Hill

Roger* is getting grilled in front of Congress this morning, you can watch it live here. After the opening statements Roger's stories seem even less believable. Committee chairman Waxman said this in his opening statement: "“We have found conflicts and inconsistencies in Mr. Clemens’ account. During his deposition, he made statements that we know are untrue.” The longer Clemens keeps up this lie the more damage he does to his career. It is very likely Roger* will face a perjury charge after the testimony is done. Andy Pettitte and Chuck Knoblauch both corroborated McNamee's claims and Roger* said his wife did use HGH. Clemens is doing so bad he is making Mark McGuire look like he did a good job in front of Congress.

Update: New evidence comes out about an MRI Clemens had during his time in Toronto.
