Red Sox Continue to Own the Yankees
Josh Beckett showed the Yankees that he is the still an ace and that the Red Sox are still the better team; he went 6 innings giving up just 1 hit while striking out 8. The pen continued the dominance with three more innings of 1-hit ball.
The Sox offense provided all that was needed scoring 7 runs on 9 hits including a 2-run long blast by Big Papi in the second and a solo home run by Nick Green in the 7th.
