Red Sox Squish the Fish

I promise that will be my last "fish" related headline of the series because I know you are already sick of them after one game. The Red Sox cruised to an easy victory as Wakefield earned his 9th win of the season and bettered his chances of making the American League All-Star Team in St. Louis. Wake went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits with 4 K's. Delcarmen, Saito, and Bard combined for 3 innings of 1-hit ball with no walks.

Big Papi fueled the Red Sox offense with his 5th homer of the season and drove in a season high 3 runs. The bottom three of the Sox order each had 2 hits in the game.
