I think that from his pitching on a mound and his discussions about it afterwards, Clay is starting to look less like a rookie and more like an actual pitcher.
He didn't let a momentary breakdown early in the game get into his head. That's huge given Clay's struggles last year. If we aren't silly and trade this kid away in the off season...I think he's easily the next Jon Lester.
He really did show much more poise on the mound and with the media...looks like the guy might stick around for awhile this time.
