Hey did you know A-Rod* was benched yesterday? You wouldn't if you stopped by AROD.com to find out information on the guy getting $33 million to ride pine. The first thing you see on his website is this news story:
The Yankees have gone 20-8 since Alex Rodriguez's return from hip surgery, and the Bombers now sit in first place thanks in part to ARod's formidable bat in the middle of the order.
To get Yankee fans to embrace A-Rod* the team that brought you the moat, decided it would be a good idea to have players "mingle' with fans in Monument Park before a game.
Meet and greets are scheduled to be held once a homestand, an idea that team spokesman Jason Zillo said originated months ago. A-Rod wanted to be a part of it Tuesday, hoping it would help show he's still a mere mortal, even with his larger-than-life persona.
"We can give the innocence of the game back to the children," Negron said. "Goodbye steroids, hello grassroots."
ARod*s new relationship with Kate Hudson is not going over well with his teammates:
“First we dealt with all the Madonna mayhem, now we’re on to Kate. It’s distracting,” says one person connected with the team. “And they haven’t even been together that long....It’s not like there’s a problem with wives or girlfriends going to games,” said the source. “But a lot of us agree that this is a little much. They’re barely dating, and it’s all about Kate.”We'll see if she shows up at Fenway today as Sox fans get their first chance to chant "A-Roids." Read more...
I kept waiting for this video to be funnier but then I realized it was made by a Blue Jays fan. A-Rod is the target but I think Jays fans come out looking like bigger losers in this one:
A-Rod* has used steroids throughout his baseball career according to author Selena Roberts. Watch below:

Please stop asking A-Rod* any questions about roids or man-boobs, he is doing God's work. When confronted with the allegations of steroid use in high school he responded with:
"I've worked extremely hard and I'm very anxious to do what God put me on this Earth to do and that's play baseball."Read more...
The A-Rod* scandals are so voluminous that they now fill a book. The reporter that broke the steroids story is coming out with a book that is sure to be a best seller among Red Sox Nation. In the book, Selena Roberts says A-Rod* starting taking roids in high school and grew man-boobs. It also accused him of helping others cheat:
In one shocking disclosure, the book accuses A-Rod of "pitch tipping" when he was with the Rangers - letting a friendly opponent at the plate know which pitch was coming in lopsided games.

A-Rod diversifies his portfolio?
For those keeping score at home we now have had cheating in baseball (hand slap and roids), cheating on wife, passing out in the delivery room, causing trouble in a parking lot, hookers, the details magazine shoot, and now we have this:
Alex Rodriquez soaked up the love in Aspen this weekend, but he didn't exactly give it back. The Yankees slugger was partying at the Caribou Club, enjoying the attention of "several cougars," a source said, when he went to the bathroom. A male source added, "When he was done, he walked out of his stall, went up to the sink, primped himself in the mirror and walked out -- without washing his hands. Nasty." A-Rod then went back to the adoration of the ladies, but left by himself. His rep declined to comment.
The American public is getting scandal fatigue and not from AIG but from A-Rod*. We have seen cheating on his wife with Madonna, steroids, parking lot incidents, fainting in the delivery room, and now we have a new one:
A former Manhattan madam who supplied Eliot Spitzer with hookers also counted Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez as a customer - and found him so charming she dated him herself for free, former employees of the call-girl agency tell the Daily News.Read more...
A picture is worth a thousand words:
I was talking to a Yankee fan friend of mine the other day and he was saying how sick he was of A-Rod* and as soon as one issue goes away another arises. It is almost too easy to make fun of him anymore.
hat tip to The Huffington Post
Alex Rodriguez* is now profiled in Dickipedia. The best part of the entry is quoted below:

If you have not had a look at this morning's New York Post you have missed out on perhaps the best cover of all time. This one is sure to be a collector's item for years to come.
A-Rod* has his share of classic NY Post and Daily News covers....here are a few more to add to the collection:
Here we are, one day after Truck Day...Spring Training right around the corner. Baseball is back and we should all be celebrating but now we have to deal with all the steroids talk thanks to A-Rod*. When it becomes one of the top stories on the national news when Congress is debating a trillion dollar bill you know that it is a bad PR day for MLB.
