Beckett Delivers a Win

Josh Beckett had a solid outing going 7 innings, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits. He struck out 5 and walked 3. The bullpen was solid as usual; Oki went 2/3 of an inning and RR came in for an out. Paps got two quick outs in the 9th before he gave up a hit and brought Ichiro to the plate with a chance to tie it up. A grounder to second gave the Red Sox the victory.

J-Bay, Tek, and Bailey all fueled the Red Sox offense with home runs.
