Missed Opportunities

The Red Sox have had three one run losses in the last four games. There is plenty of blame to go around in each of them; Lester's bad inning, MDC and RR giving up winning runs, Lugo and Green making errors, Big Papi and Baldelli not producing as DH and Mike Lowell hitting into multiple double plays. When you have different reasons for losses it becomes very tough to try to "fix" the team. The team ran into some bad luck on the West Coast trip but you have to remember that Youk's bat was not in the lineup and Dice-K was on the DL. Both players will rejoin the team this week. The Sox have today to rest up because the Jays are coming into Fenway on Tuesday; a series that could put the Red Sox back in the driver's seat.
