Paps Ruins Beckett's Gem

It was bound to happen sooner or later; Papelbon had been playing with fire and tonight he got burned. With two outs in the 9th, Paps gave up a 2-run gopher ball to Omir Santos over the monster, Sheff was on first from a walk earlier in the inning. It was a game the Red Sox should have won, especially with the way Beckett pitched. In eight innings Beckett gave up just 5 hits and one unearned run.
