Wake Makes Quick Work of the Jays

Tim Wakefield resumed his place as the ace of the staff with a great game tonight. He went 8 innings giving up 5 hits and one earned run. The run came off of a homer by Kevin Millar (if you are going to give up a home run, that one is OK.) The Red Sox scored two runs in the second; an RBI single by Jeff Bailey and a sac fly by Kottaras. It was nice to see Bailey get a big hit in his last game at first since Youk will be back tomorrow. 2 runs was all they would need for the win. The game was over in 2 hours and 17 minutes after Paps came in to sit them down in order in the 9th. Nice start to the series against the first place Jays.
