Thoughts On Senator Ted Kennedy

Today's memorial to Senator Ted Kennedy shows us how much impact one person can have on society. People on both sides of the aisle respected Kennedy because of his love for the country and his pragmatic approach to politics. Whether you agreed with his thinking or not, you have to give him credit for staying true to his roots, helping those less fortunate and working tirelessly for causes he believed in. He was a flawed individual, but was able to overcome those flaws to become the best at his job. The events of this week have reminded me how far the Irish have come in America and how much the people of New England have done for this country. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, please take the example of Kennedy's determination to better his country as inspiration to positively impact the lives of those around you.
