10 Runs Not Enough For Sox Pitchers

This loss you can blame squarely on the pitching staff. The Red Sox offense handed Lester a 4 run lead in the top of the third but he gave all of the runs back plus one more in the bottom of the inning. The Sox added 5 more runs in the 6th but the pen (mainly Delcarmen) gave those runs back too. Houston took a two run lead going into the 9th. Lowell homered to put the Sox within one but that was as close as they would get. Tek and Lugo continued to struggle at the plate and Lester had his first bad outing in a while. This was a tough loss for the Sox but they should be able to put it behind them and leave Houston having won the series with Beckett on the hill today.

Sox Lose 11-10 BOX SCORE
