Would the Sox Trade Youkilis For Santana?

The Minneapolis Star Tribune is reporting that Kevin Youkilis' name has been discussed in the Santana negotiations. Brandon Moss was also mentioned as a potential part of the trade in the article. If this is accurate it is the first time either name has come up. Trading Youk would not sit as well with Sox fans as the idea of trading Lester and Coco.

I did hear Youk's name come up before in this. (Note: We're not parting with him.) I couldn't find where, but I do see on a message board that someone else said they've heard it, and that was from Wednesday night. So I may or may not be crazy.

And you know this how? I'm not calling you out - I don't want to see him go so I'm hoping your info is good!

You're right, nothing's set in stone. But if hes not established as our starting first baseman for years to come at this point, then, uh, let's say, nothing is right with the world.

From your mouth to God's (and Theo's) ear.
