Boston signed minor league free agent Jonathan Van Every today. He is not really the bench outfielder that they will be looking for when they trade Coco but he did put up some solid numbers in the minors this year. Scouts.com has an interesting article on him here. He is now on the Red Sox 40 man roster leaving them with 2 open spots.
