Schilling and Colon on the Mend

Bartolo Colon pitched yesterday for the first time since his oblique injury in an extended spring training game. Colon pitched two scoreless innings with a K and a walk. He will have a few rehab starts with the Pawtucket before making a major league start.

Curt Schilling is going to throw a ball today, if all goes well it will be a sign that he will be able to pitch for the team this season.

I was talking with some guys this morning about Schilling... it would be great to have him back in the rotation for the post season - if he's healthy and good - but that would likely result in Lester, Wake or Buchholz losing their chance to pitch in the playoffs after pitching all season...

I'm probably getting way ahead of myself here, but I'd be pissed if I lost my spot to Schilling after working hard all year...

I really don't think Schill will take Lester's spot if he is pitching well...I think Wake would be the most likely candidate, he always seems to do whatever is needed for the team even if it means getting screwed over. I still think someone is going to get injured and it will be a non issue...isn't it great to have this much quality starting pitching?

I expect absolutely zero from Schill this year. Anything more would be a treat.
