Wake Struggles Again
The Red Sox may have jumped the gun in naming Tim Wakefield the fourth starter. Wake got shelled today by the Reds minor league squad. He gave up 5 earned runs including 3 homers. His ERA for spring is now 5.40

Ouch!
Not good... but I've said it before... Wake is going to have to lose 10 in a row and post a 20.00 ERA before they give up on him.
Wake's gonna have these game... you roll the dice every time he pitches.
He has had a hard time getting it going this spring, if Penny and Smoltz get healthy and Buchholz is still doing well Wake could be the odd man out come mid season.
