Music of Summer

The Boston Pops Orchestra is releasing a The Red Sox Album on opening day. The album includes the following:

THE RED SOX ALBUM TO FEATURE NEW ARRANGEMENTS OF FENWAY’S FAN ANTHEM “SWEET CAROLINE,” THE DROPKICK MURPHYS’ “I’M SHIPPIN’ UP TO BOSTON,” AND “TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME;” “THE STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER” AND A MUSICAL VERSION OF BASEBALL’S FAMOUS HEART-WRENCHER, “CASEY AT THE BAT,” ALSO FEATURED

The album is part of a joint effort by the Boston Pops and the Red Sox:

“This CD marks the next exciting chapter in what continues to be a tremendous partnership between two of Boston’s most storied institutions,” said Red Sox President/CEO Larry Lucchino. “The Boston Pops and the Boston Symphony have provided the soundtrack for some of the most memorable moments at Fenway Park.
