Tiger Stadium Is Dismantled

Today is a sad day for baseball as the heavy equipment came in to destroy Tiger Stadium. The park opened on the same year as Fenway. While the ballpark was cramped and rundown in the last few years the Tigers played there, it had great history and could have been renovated. I was lucky enough to go to a game there in 1999 before the Tigers moved to their new home. Fenway and Wrigley are going to be all that are left of the historic stadiums.
