David Ortiz is one classy guy, and I've got a lot of respect for him after that interview. He's right, it ain't going to be roses and flowers all the time. That's baseball, and that's life.

Great fight by the Sox. They made it a most-entertaining series.

Here's to your team Fenway West. Cheers.

thanks eyebleaf, are the Jays going to go on another spending spree this offseason? The AL East has become one tough division, imagine if the Orioles actually did well again.

All signs are pointing to a pretty quiet off-season for Tahranna. We do have money to spend, just not sure what we're going to do. I think we'll make attempts to sign AJ, but all signs are pointing that he's gone.

We've lost Shaun Marcum to Tommy John, and Dustin McGowan won't be back til June probably. So our rotation, which was the best in baseball, might take a serious, serious hit. We have some kids so we could promote from within, but we've got to try and sign a second tier starter, someone like Derek Lowe, maybe.

More than anything else, we need a bat. Jays fans around the blogosphere have visions of Manny Ramirez in a Jays uniform. I mean, it would be the ultimate, and he loves to hit at the Rogers Centre. I'm not getting my hopes too high, though, because I simply don't see it happening. I doubt we'll go and give him $20 million, which I'm sure he will get.

It will be a most interesting off season. We do have a lot of money to spend.

As for the AL East, it's pretty unbelievable that another team from our division is in the World Series, and it's not the BoSox or Yankees. The toughest division in baseball just got even tougher. My heart hurts. I guess we can take solace in the fact that the Orioles will always suck.

Oh, and I also dream of the Jays signing Mark Texeira.
