Red Sox-Yankees Update

Sox go in order in the first. Bartolo is hitting mid 90's on his fastball but had given up a hit and 2 walks to load the bases in the first before Matsui hit a ground rule double to give the Yanks a 2-0 lead. Cano follows with a double to left scoring 2 more....el Gordo is not getting it done and is laboring in the first....after 42 pitches, 3 hits, 3 walks, and 4 earned runs, Bartolo's day is done. Tavarez is in for the Sox.

Things could get interesting because Tavarez beaned Jeter in the second. Bobby Abreu follows with a 2 run homer to put the Yanks up 6-0.

Yankees retaliate by having Pettitte throw inside on Big Papi. Youk hit a solo homer to lead off the 4th. Jacoby has two hits but the Sox still trail 8-4.

The Red Sox are not wearing green uniforms today.
