SWEEP!
The Red Sox completed a three game sweep of the Evil Empire tonight at the Fens. The win was the 10th in a row by Boston and featured what is sure to be one of the most memorable moments of the season when Jacoby Ellsbury stole home on a straight steal, the first one since Billy Hatcher did it on April 22, 1994.
Masterson did well in the start and the bullpen was great, especially Bowden who was called up before the game. Big Papi's bat looked a little better tonight as he drove in 2.
This three game series is sure to have serious ramifications for the Yankees; their big money guys of Burnett and Teixeira fizzled in their rivalry debuts. Burnett took the loss last night and Teixeira was awful at the plate; 0-4 tonight.
Captain Richard Phillips threw out the first pitch before tonight's game.
Red Sox Win 4-1 BOX SCORE

How amazing was that play by Jacoby Ellsbury? The guy is a real speedster...I thought Pettitte's blank stare was absolutely hilarious!
and what about the reaction time by Posada? Couldn't ask for much more.
Epic steal!
Epic victory!!
Epic weekend!!!
