Beckett's Complete Game Not Enough, Red Sox Fall to 2nd Place

Josh Beckett pitched a complete game giving up 4 runs on 7 hits but it was not enough to wake up the Red Sox slumbering bats. Ells, Drew, Bay, and Tek went a combined 0-13 in the game. Drew is now batting .127 in July. The 4 game losing streak along with the Yankees win streak has dropped Boston into 2nd place in the A.L. East.

The Red Sox had their top scout watching the tribe tonight; could they be interested in Cliff Lee? or possibly Martinez? Either way, the Red Sox need something to wake the team up.

Red Sox Lose 4-2 BOX SCORE

Red Sox 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 2 5 0
