The Bleeding Continues

The bats stayed asleep and Buchholz did not provide any answers on the mound as the Red Sox lost their fifth straight game falling 2 games behind the Yankees.

Clay Buchholz was inconsistant on the mound tonight giving up 6 hits and all 3 of the Ranger runs in 4 innings to take the loss.

The Red Sox only had 6 total hits in the game, Ells, Youk, Drew, Bay, and Kotsay all had 0-fers on the night. J.D. Drew has not had a hit in forvever and his OBP is .100 since the All-Star break.

The only team going nowhere faster than the Sox would be the Rangers. They will not catch the Angels, and even a wild card berth means a first round exit. Enjoy this moment while it lasts.

this losing streak is starting to leave a mark, time to fix things before the Red Sox take themselves out of the race.

It's still only July! Yeah, it sucks to see them lose 5 straight, but it hasn't been the 1st time it's happened, nor will it be the last time either. They'll get their shit back together soon enough. 2 GB is nothing. I'm not worried.
