Angels own the Sox
6 games within the last two weeks and 6 wins for the LA Angels over the Red Sox. The Manny news is grabbing the headlines, but the fact that the Red Sox can't beat the Angels is more disturbing.
If the Manny trade goes through, the Sox don't just need to make up for Manny's production, they need to improve overall as a team. The status quo isn't cutting it. The Sox have shown that they can't beat the best teams right now.
All eyes are on the Manny trade. We should be as or more concerned that the Sox get some bullpen help. Let's see what the afternoon brings.

We make a good trade, the new arrivals inject life and energy back into the club, we go on a tear, we eliminate the Angels in the first round as usual.
Sound like a plan? =Þ
i'm with you heretic, look at the spark O.C. brought into the Sox after Nomar....I'm ready to turn the page and kick some ass, especially Ray and Yankee ass.
the angels have hit the blank out of sox pitching, starters included. i'm not liking tek's pitch calling.
it is tempting to draw comparisons to '04, and cabrera, and all that, though.
i think i'll be really upset, though, if the angels can't beat the yankees this weekend.
