Sox Avoid Getting No-Hit But Still Lose Ugly

John Lackey had a no-hitter going into the 9th before Pedroia broke it up with a single, Youk followed with a 2 run homer and that was it for the Sox offense tonight. Buchholz was ineffective again, going 6 1/3 and giving up 6 runs. (5 earned) Boston needs to trade for some bullpen help in case they need Masterson to start. Colon is not likely to be able to stay healthy for the remainder of the season.

After Pedroia destroyed the no-no and Youk obliterated the shutout, it almost felt like a win for us tonight despite the final score...

Losing to the Angels this many times sucks, but it will just make eliminating them in the first round of the playoffs that much sweeter! =Þ

that might be a litter harder now that they have Tex...but no worries Papi will blast one into the rock garden to send the rally monkey back to disneyland.
