Sox and Yanks Wait For News On Key Players

It is strange that on the same day both teams involved in a pennant chase would be waiting to here about the injury to a key player on their team. For the Sox it is Ortiz; without his bat (and Manny's) Boston will be in big trouble. For the Yankees it is Joba; New York has no way of replacing him in the rotation should it be a serious injury. Last night Joba left the game with a shoulder injury that could force the Yanks to shut him down. The injuries to Ortiz and Joba could be minor or they could be disastrous. We know what Tampa fans are rooting for. The pennant chase could be decided in a couple of doctor's offices today.

I can't stand Joba. Screw him and his shoulder. He's my new favorite pinstripe to hate.

Yes I am evil. ;)

No, you're not evil. Pinstripes are evil.
