Put the Brooms Away, Series Continues Tomorrow

Beckett was shaky tonight as the Red Sox failed to clinch the ALDS. Mike Napoli had 2 home runs in the game for the Angels. After the 5th inning it was all goose eggs until the top of the 12th when the Halos took a one run lead off of a bloop single. In the bottom of the inning Big Papi led off with a walk to put the tying run on 1st. Youk followed with a deep fly out to center, Papi was running on the pitch. Jason Bay came up and watched strike 3 (0-5 on the night.) Cora's grounder to third ended the game and gave the Angels their first playoff win over the Red Sox since 1986. Beckett's outing makes you wonder if he can pitch well this postseason, in other bad news Mike Lowell did not have much range in the field and stuggled at the plate. Dustin Pedroia is still looking for his first hit of the ALDS.

Red Sox Lose 5-4 BOX SCORE
