Papelbon Breaks Record, Throws Ball in Trash
In case you missed it during your late night celebrations of last night's victory or you are just recovering from temporary blindness due to Craig Sager's suit, Jonathan Papelbon set a record last night. He has 20 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings in the postseason, breaking the previous record of 20 by Joe Niekro. Paps didn't realize the significance of the game ball so he put it in the trash.
"I accidentally threw the ball away, I'm getting good at that," said Papelbon, whose dog chewed up the game ball from the final out of last year's World Series win over Colorado. "I usually throw the ball away or in a corner after games, but I wasn't thinking about this being a major-league record ball. I had to scurry back in and grab it out of the trashcan."

Sager's suits are absolutely ridiculous. He's on crack.
