Maybe Manny Should Go Back To Avoiding The Media

I like that Manny became more accessible to the media this year but he does not have a filter and says whatever comes to his mind. This can be great and funny at times or it can get him in hot water like it did this week. Manny has had a tough week in the press lately; he has been accused of giving up an AB to the Yanks, Eck ripped him on NESN, and in today's Herald Michael Silverman had a piece where he spun it that the Red Sox were mad at Manny for smiling after his error on Friday night. The press has been really going after Manny lately, some of it has been justified, some not. You can understand why a few players have animosity towards the media and avoid it altogether. This might be a time for Manny to consider that again.
