Sox Win On the Road Again!

The Red Sox have won a road series and there is still a game left to play! Granted the Sox are not playing the '27 Yankees but to win two in a row on the road is a huge accomplishment for this team. Dice-K had a solid outing, pitching a scoreless game into the eighth before giving up 2 runs. Tito went to Okajima with one out in the inning and he was rewarded with 2 quick outs keeping the Sox ahead by 2 runs. Papelbon converted his 30th save with a perfect ninth. The Sox offense scored 4 runs off of 9 hits including J.D. Drew's 18th home run of the season. Boston goes for the sweep tomorrow afternoon in Seattle.

I think we were all very happy that Okajima got two straight outs. That was really a key to locking that game down.

Now, let's see if Buchholz has perfected his "new delivery" or if he needs more work on it.

An important away win for the Sox last night, although Okajima continues to be a tightrope walker...
