Great interview!
I had only heard negative things about this book, mostly that the Sox didn't want this book written. Why they didn't was a question that I was about to call back and ask, (but maybe I missed that in the audio interview?)
Playing in several bands myself, I found the information about his relationship with Eddie Vedder, his guitar training and playing at the Hot Stove Cool Music event, as well as other unannounced appearances to be very interesting.
I knew that he was mostly from the NY area and worried that he might have a negative slant towards the Red Sox, but was relieved that he was more of a Mets fan than that of the Yankees.
