Beating a Dead Horse

If the AL East is a horse race then one horse is dead on the track: the New York Yankees. The Bronx Bummers blew another one last night when Rivera threw a wild pitch allowing the winning run to score in the 9th. The Yankees had a lead-off single in the bottom of the 9th but pinch runner Justin Christian was picked off first base. Giambi ended the game with a bases loaded fly out.

I keep hearing people say it is too early to write off the Yankees but that is pre-2004 thinking. The Yanks have zero chance of playing post-season baseball this year.

I sure hope you are right. Eight straight years of frustration and humiliation would speak volumes about how things have changed with the Yankees.

The Yankees need to learn some humiliation~ about 87 years worth should do it.

and they made the playoffs each of those years, think how much more fun it will be when they don't even get in the post-season
