Youk For MVP?

Is there a player in the American League that has been more valuable to his team than Kevin Youkilis this season? A strong argument can be made for Tampa's Evan Longoria, but I think Youk beats him out. Let's look at his current numbers: He is second in batting average for the AL at .322 (just 1 point behind Pedroia). He is tied for 10th in HR's and is 5th in RBI's. Youk has been a monster in the cleanup spot for Boston and has made teams pitch to Ortiz. When you add in the Gold Glove defense and the abiltiy to play first and third his value goes even higher. If Youk can keep solid numbers for the remainder of the season he will be in the running for the AL MVP.
