The Jimmy Fund Exceeds Its Goal

This year's Jimmy Fund goal was $4 million. At around 5 pm WEEI announced they had reached their goal and were still taking donations for cancer research. Donations have come in from all 50 states including a $1000 donation from the Houston, Texas Red Sox meetup group.

To continue the effort to fight cancer and donate money for cancer research you can participate in a golf tournament organized by a Red Sox fan in Gilroy, CA at Eagle Ridge Golf Course on Nov. 2. All of the proceeds will go to cancer research. For more info contact the Emperor of Red Sox Nation in Califonia here.

The replica World Series ring that was created for the telethon was auctioned for $90,961.00.
